I went to Iceland from the 19/02 - 23/02 with my school, and took over 1.5k photos! I edited & uploaded the best to my Flickr album, linked below. I rented 2 lenses to use on the trip - Sigma 18 - 35mm f/1.8 & Sigma 50mm f/1.4. Both were absolutely fantastic lenses, and if I had any money I'd buy that Sigma 50mm f/1.4 right now! Shame it's over £300... My experience with Lensesforhire.co.uk was exemplary, and I got an amazing deal on both for only £45 for 6 days rental! I also used my Nikkor 55 - 300mm f/4.5 - 5.6 for some of the longer range shots, especially of the Minke whales. Unfortunately I do not have the time or patience to individually list the EXIF data for each photo, ask me what you'd like to know and I can tell you! I only saw the Northern Lights once, and it was at a time when I only had my 50mm and no tripod, so I was doing long exposures handheld... It made for interesting effects though, the colours really stood out. I went on a "Golden Circle Tour", visiting the likes of Geysir, Gullfoss, Thingvellir, Hellisheidarvirkjun thermal power plant, along with enjoying the general sites of Reykjavik, at day & night. I also really enjoyed using the prime lens, taking portraits was surprisingly fun! I have also printed some photo's, and the look awesome!
