I too have just recieved some new gear. 2 photoflex 36"x48" softboxes. 10 degree grid for the strobe and a Monfrotto boom stand. Actually had it all out last night and played. Just waiting for some poor sap to stand in front of them. Oh sorry I can't help you out with input on you're gear. Have fun with it though.

Well I sold my SB-700 and rapid box...Also my pocket wizard receiver.....Gonna put this $ toward A Strobe..Really want the Profoto Air TTL...Big $ thou..Plus Nikon version is not out yet..
This way I can get some real light modifiers that they make..Soft box, beauty dish,Grids etc..Trying to build a home studio..

Which strobes are you going to use? There are a lot of strobes for studio type it all boils down on how much are you going to spend. Do some research since some may not be compatible with your softboxes.

I really want the new Profoto B1 500ws air ttl..But it cost 2k...Big $ Then the air remote is $400...Ouch..I don't have any soft boxes at this time..Just a Photoflex 72 inch white shoot through...This new light is perfect for location shooting, and has a led modeling lamp..Amazon.com: Profoto B1 500 AirTTL Battery Powered Flash: Camera & Photo

Those are definitely too expensive. I would consider the Paul C. Buff like what I mentioned above. Their remotes (cybersync) are much reasonable. They also have the available batteries if you want to shoot outdoor.

Paul C. Buff - Einstein E640

Paul C. Buff - CyberSync™

Paul C. Buff - Softboxes and Octaboxes

Not having to carry a battery pack and cords is very attractive..Built in radio slave..led lamp...This is the Nikon 70-200 vr2 of lighting....lol
Endless modifiers etc..Im more of a location shooter..So this has so much appeal...
