Put the Metz 58 on the light stand shooting through the umbrella and the SB 700 as the master, used my Newton Bracket on my tripod and mounted the Fong Whale Tale on the SB 700 (need to work at making it stay on better, fell off a couple of times ) Overall I was pleased with the lighting. The sun coming through the window gave the backlight that a kicker flash would have produced. Amazed that my Eneloop AA's lasted through about 500 flashes, my Nikon rechargable had to be replaced twice (I have three thankfully). I did find that the D5100 can shoot faster than the speedlights can recharge (towards the end of the shoot when the AA's would not have been fully charged). Had a half dozen shots where the speedlights did not flash properly. Used my Nikkor 35mm prime lens, F3.5 to F 6, 1/60 to 1/200. Had to use on-line free photo software as I'm not at home, so could not process my RAW shots (shot both NEF and JPG). Posted several shots on FB that I processed in Pixlr. Tried GIMP (gotta spend a lot more time figuring that program out - looks powerful but didn't come easily to me) also tried Photo-Razer, Pixia and Picasa but missed my familiarity with Elements and Corel Paintshop Pro. Lots of photo fun today.
