My Hasselblad eye level finder does not even have a meter and there is none in the body either. No need for any battery! I have literally gone MONTHS with dead batteries in my F2’s and Nikkormat FT3 and never knew it because I rarely use the meter and that is all they power.  Not so  with the F4S and D700. Without batteries they are just big and expensive paperweights </blockquote>
