If dont mind second hand lens, try buying at kitamura online or kakaku.net or many other second hand shop (they are many in japan)..i assume u are in tokyo...i found 2 great stores near Akihabara...while i was in japan, i bought the 18-105 lens thru rakuten online. go for white box and it fit the $300 budget.
