[QUOTE="ryanwphoto, post: 545034, member: 23475"] Alright so I recently purchased a 70-200 2.8 VR and a 24-70 2.8 off a guy who's wife passed away for a very good deal, his wife was the photog and he had no idea about photography at all or the equipment. I checked both lenses out and they were excellent condition. Then he asked me if I would be interested in the camera body as well and that it was a D700 with grip. I said I'd look at it and according to our local used websites it was about half the cost of one off of there. When I went to look at it it looked alright and I took a couple shots but was busy chatting with him and was in a bit of a rush and I NEVER LOOKED AT THE PICTURES... Yes to this minute I do not even know why I didn't and I have no answer. So please don't ask why! 😩 Anyway to 'cut the grass short' I had some lunch and picked it up to play with it and the screen won't come on at all. Nothing happens. Everything else on the camera seems to work great but the rear lcd won't display photos and the menu won't come up. I've done everything I can think of, 2 button reset, took grip off, charged battery, checked all terminals and posts... all clean and formatted the card. Nothing changed. The screen itself looks mint, I checked for stuck buttons but to my eye I can't see any stuck. One thing though is the card is an 8mb Canon CF, and it looks old. Would this by chance hinder it in any way? I had a D300s a couple years ago but I don't have any CF cards to try at the moment. I use SD cards now. Does anyone have any advice? Any information would be greatly appreciated.
