How to delete printer profiles in PCC

Over the weekend I replaced my Canon MP620 all-in-one printer with a Canon MG7120 all-in-one printer. When I print an image from the MG7120, the MP620 printer profiles are still being listed in PCC. I deleted the MP620 from my computer's Devices and Printers, but how do I stop the profiles from showing up when I go to print?

BTW, I haven't yet set up the Canon Pro 100, but even when I do, I'll still use the MG7120 for some prints.

You're using Windows, yes?

Navigate to: Windows > System32 > Spool > Drivers > Color

Here there be printer profiles; delete the one's you don't need and keep the rest.

I'm not on Windows so Paul's recommendation may work fine for you, but on a Mac the profiles get split into two locations. One, as found in this article which contains the above information, gives me all the non-printer specific profiles. In your post it sounds like you want to delete the profiles for the MP620, and those are in a different directory for me on my Mac and may be for you as well. When I go to select the Printer Profile in PsCC the ones below the line in the photo below are in the generic location, while those above the line are stored in another location associated with the printer...

I can't tell you where that is on a Windows machine, but if you go into Windows Explorer and type "MP620" or one of the profile names you're looking to delete it may reveal the directory that they're in.

Thank you, Paul and Jake. I will take a longer look at the info later when I have some time to really dig around and understand.

Before I was even able to access the print options, this appeared on my screen. Any idea why, and if so, what do I need to do? I clicked OK which then took me to the print option anyway. Did this show up because of deleting the MP620 as my default printer (it is no longer listed as a device on my computer).

Here is a screen shot of what I see when I go to print. And the profile that is highlighted seems to be the default one that I used the most with my MP620.

I suspect you're getting the pop-up because the last thing you printed used an MP620 profile and Ps was trying to reconcile that with the current/available printer. I'm thinking that once you print one thing with the new printer using an MG7100 profile and exit the program you should be good the next time you come in.

I did print something with one of the new profiles yesterday. Still haven't had time to check into this yet though.

I have searched in a variety of places but am not able to find the specific profiles. So I will just have to leave them be. Doing a search on MP620 doesn't bring up anything even though it is still listed as a profile in PCC. The driver for my old Canon printer was listed under Programs and Features so I uninstalled it right from there. Despite that, it still shows up.

Here is what I see when I go to a couple of different folders. The problem is none of the profiles are listed by the printer profile names. Even when I do a search for those names, nothing comes up.

Here is the folder with the Adobe Color Profiles.

And here is the folder going through the System32 navigation. According to something I read online, the CN most likely identifies Canon. But the problem is I don't know which ones might be associated with my new printer. So I'm just going to have to let this go.
