I can't give a good answer either, and I own a D5300. I have never used the GPS feature and very rarely use "Live View". I also very seldom look at a capture with the LCD while out catching a photo or two. I don't get crazy with the number of pictures taken in a day and have probably only used the built in flash a couple of times. With all of that info, my battery usually holds a charge for weeks of use. When I have used the "Live View", I have noticed a much faster battery discharge than under my normal conditions. Saying all of this, I think each individual will have to just play to see how their style works with the camera/battery life. You would probably be hard pressed to detect a very noticeable difference with and without the GPS as it pertains to battery life.
