I can choose to pack all the lenses and carry the camera in my camera bag or leave a lens or two behind and add my camera. But my main concern was using the overhead bins and not being forced to check my gear when flying. And no, I've not yet gotten the lid organizer but it's on the short list. Actually, my cool camera bag is starting to fray on the inside and the strings are getting stuck in the zipper so I think I may put a new bag on the list just above the organizer. As far as depth, my 14-24mm and 24-70mm fit fine standing up but my 70-300mm needs to lay down if I keep the foam in the lid. Hopefully that gives you an idea of the depth.</blockquote>
