My favourite spot for astro shots has no background light as it is shooting from the edge of a forest on the top of a cliff. Pretty creepy in the pitch black with a slight wind rustling the branches behind you! There are shots I do where it could be viewfinder light, but since it also happens where there is no light (I suppose there is the starlight and reflected light pollution, but when my eyes have adjusted to the dark the light from the viewfinder (not the LCD) is enough for me to navigate by (if shows where the camera is at least).</p></blockquote><p></p>
