How Do I Link Up a D3300 to a Tablet Hudl2, Please?

Is it possible to use a Huld2 with a Nikon D3300 via each others HDMI ports?

Ideally, I want to use the Hudl as a larger screen so I can make sure my shots are pin-sharp
which can be difficult to see using the on-board camera screen. (I'm getting older!)

Don't worry, I don't need my hand holding through the process - just a clue what to do or a link
as my searches have not yielded an answer.

As an aside, I do get confused with the HDMI sizes: does anyone know what the sizes are for
the D3300 and the Hudl2, please?

As always,
Very many thanks
Kevin

No. the thought never occurred to me - and I think it's an incredibly good option.

I'll run off now and read up on that.

Many thanks for your time to reply!

edited to add:

I just had a look at some YuoTube vids about this, and the speeds at which the photos
are transferred are slow: I would prefer a more or less instant view to assess the
shot quickly, so a wired option might be preferable?

My main concern is to use the tablet as a larger monitor for the camera. ;-)

Stupid me - I got my posts mixed up. Sorry, Guys.

It looks like the WU-1A is the only viable option, even though it is a little on the slow side.

Many thanks again to all and my profuse apologies to those who I got mixed up.

Thank you, AC016!

It sounds to me like you want to display photos on the camera's memory card on your tablet without moving the files off the camera's memory card and onto the tablet. That approach is going to be difficult, if not impossible.

The better solution would be to put the photos on the tablet and then use a software application on your tablet with a full-screen slideshow option, like Irfanview, to display them. If your tablet has neither USB port, nor SD memory card slot, to facilitate the transfer of your photos I can only suggest you might want to consider a different tablet.

Tablets, generally speaking, are sleek and ultra portable but you give up a lot of functionality in exchange.

Thanks, HF. As it happens, thankfully, my hudl2 has a micro sd card slot, and I have a micro sd card in an adapter in my nikon. ;-)

I have half-solved my problem: in my studio set-up I can configure a regular tv to do what I want. Out in the field is another matter
as I don't want to lug a monitor and power pack around.

Ace016 has the other half of the solution for out in the field, which is the wifi dongle.

So all is good! Many thanks to all!
