Okay, well... Since you asked, sure. Most days I feel a little pressured to get a shot because I work full time and obviously that takes a big chunk of my time... So most days I take what I know is a mediocre shot just so I can tell myself I'm covered; I've got a shot, even if I'm not totally happy with it, so the integrity of my 365 is at least maintained. Having that mediocre shot "in my pocket" sort of takes the pressure off and if a better shot comes along, well then I'll post that one instead, of course, and so much the better. I'm not rally too happy about this approach but it's been working at least. Then that little voice in the back of my head spoke up... And it said something along the lines of, "You're taking a lot of photos, but what are your photos saying? Are they saying anything at all?" And that really made me stop for a moment. I think I'm taking "better" photos than I was, say, a year ago but I don't think I'm communicating anything. And when I look at what I feel are really, really good or outstanding photos I realize I'm connecting with them because they're communicating something to me. And I want to be doing that as a photographer. That pretty much sums it up... Maybe I'm just thinking too much. I've been known to do that. ....
