Am I the only one who, after seeing the Z6, really wants a DSLR upgrade to the D750? Haha I think it's due about now or in the near future.

You’re not the only one who would love to see an upgrade to the D750. Although it is due for a refresh, I think the release of the Z6 and Z7 mean it won’t happen any time too soon. I also hope that an update does not result in an downgrade (like the 7500)

My deepest wish is for Nikon to release a 700/800 series camera body aimed at the still-life photographer. They have all the right ingredients, it would just be a matter of putting them all together in a single package while leaving off superfluous crap like 4K video. This too is a pipe-dream, and I know it.
The features in the video would be very welcoming as a D750 replacement especially if all the features went into a D850 body.
I just bought a D750 as it's half the price of a Z6 and has a built in focus motor which Z cameras don't.
If Nikon want to kill the DSLR the need to make a ZTF adapter with a focus motor in it. Then you could use your old screw focus lenses on a new camera AND suddenly they would get the advantage of the internal body VR.
If they did that I might have been tempted.
I suppose that a lot of people now have DX VR lenses lying around and they can go the the Z50. The DX folks almost seem to get a better migration path with cheap used lenses than FX folks.
