Message: <blockquote data-quote="Nikon Photographer" data-source="post: 76801" data-attributes="member: 9882"><p>No, your not crazy, if you get the correct Nikon adapter that allows all the functions of the lens, (AF and exposure modes) then yes it will work, and the 70-300 would get the same image as you would when using a 189-810 on a 35mm camera, the lens doesn't alter it's focal length, but as the sensor is smaller than a full frame 35mm camera, the image is cropped and you end up with the equivalent of a longer lens, this is probably why a lot of wildlife photographers go for the DX size sensor camera's.</p></blockquote><p></p>
