I have been dabbling in photography for sometime now and looking to get back into it. I took a black and white 35mm course in college and I had a lot of fun but now I want to get into digital. Digital has killed the film age - photography and movies. About a year ago some friends gave me their Olympus E-10 camera and I have taken some good shots with it but I didn't like the fact that you could not change lenses. Last week I went out and bought the D7000 and I am in love with it.

Looking to get some good tips from you all.

Welcome Film Man. I'm just a couple of 100 miles down I-35, from you, in Wichita. I was in KC yesterday. I visited the Overland Park Photo Supply. :) They're on the Kansas side, over on 87th and Metcalf.

Hey welcome to the forum, I live just 45min from you in Topeka and if for some reason you ever head in to Topeka you should check out Wolfe's Camera downtown. Anyway welcome and can't wait to see some shots from ya. Enjoy the D7000!!!!!

I've done business with Wolfe's. I actually bought my Nikon grip from them. We no longer have any privately-owned camera stores in Wichita. They've all gone under, due to Bestbuy, etc . . . My only options are visiting Topeka or KC, or Amazon or Bestbuy.
