Over the years I did very well in club competitions using it. Eventually the very slow RAW write speed, lack of vr and interchangeable lenses became a hinderance, hence the change. When looking for a replacement camera I had no ties to lenses, flash etc. First I chose the first lens I wanted, the Nikon 16-85, then the body. I only wish the D7100 had an articulated screen, it can be very useful, but the D5200/5300 spec didn't suit me. I may later invest in a second Nikon body with an articulated screen.</blockquote>
