Update, just scored a non VR 55-200 cheap mint condition on local craigslist first snaps are super sharp with good color and decent bokeh....looking to grab a kit 18-55 or a 18-105 on c/l and will be in walkaround biz for a while. It appears Nikkor kit glass blows away the competition. The Sony kit glass was given away as I recall....

I'll have lots of questions re FX glass as I migrate to either D700, D610 or D810! Look for multiple annoying threads soon. Sell off of Sony, Minolta gear commences after holiday w/e!

OK folks a lot of hard work on craigslist and at the local trusted LCS and I have 18-200 covered for now - 2 DX kit lenses and 2 fantastic Old school FX bits.

i figured out the focus lock function ( see my other thread! )

Now for some big time snapping! We're off!
