Help/advice w/ new lens wanted

Hello,

I shoot with a D610.
Current lenses: 50, 85, 75-200 and 24-85.

I mostly shoot automotive but recently have been venturing out of my norm. I'd like to get into astrophotography and landscape - thinking something wide angle, but won't break the bank. I had a Tokina 16-28 and did not like it (at all). I live no where near camera stores so I typically buy after reading endless reviews and watching videos, however, I'm stuck with the wide angle options.

I also want something I can possibly shoot rollers with - automotive - currently shoot them with my 24-85. I guess I'd like an all around type of lens/wide angle.

Any advice is appreciated.

Thanks.

Would need to know what you didn't like about the Tokina before making a recommendation, because given your wants and likes it's probable that we'll toss something in that focal distance range at you.

Looks like you got the d610 kit deal? Bundled with Nikkor AF 24-85 VR and 75-300 AF VR ? My son scored that excellent deal couple years ago on Nikon.com.

Nikkor AF D f 2.8 20mm might be a cheap choice. It is on my wish list. Don't like it easy flip back here on the forum or craigslist. Might also think about old school Ai or Ais mf 20 F 2.8 Nikkor as well. IMHO AF on a wide angle is unneeded. Would be my 1st choice over the AF D

I'd recommend the Tamron 15-30 but depending on your budget, the Rokinon/Samyang lenses are supposed to be very nice
