Interesting that some people on the net are saying that this is fake. Anyhow..... this guy is lucky to be living. The Talibans usual machine gun is the PK machine gune, which fires the 7.62 x 54mmR round.... this is why he is one lucky guy, just look at the ballistics of this round: 7.62×54mmR - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Personally, I think it's real. As he is moving down the hill, you can periodically see puffs of rock and dust kick up around his feet as rounds hit near by. Also around 3:05 or so, you can hear the sharp crack of the supersonic bullet as it passes by then a second later the dull thump of the muzzle report. Back when I was in the service you could determine direction and distance based on the direction of these two sounds and the timing between them

The body armor is actually better than the wikipedia link eludes to.
Wore it for the last year and the other enhancements had the PKM in mind. I wont go into details despite the fact that you can find most of it on the internet.

We actually started outfitting at least 1 man per plt with the gopros. primarily to defeat the Insurgent messaging of our shooting innocent people.
