Hello everyone,

Finally got around to purchasing a decent camera again after being without for over 10 years. Used to owning Canon, so a complete newb to Nikon I can see me being here when i should be doing a trillion other things!

I have listed myself as a newbie because I've just been using point and shoot since the digital revolution, though I used to be quite competent at taking and developing, hopefully it's like riding a bike, or at least doesnt hurt as much falling off....

Guidelines to adding a photo to your post.

1. Resize photo to 1000px on the long side.
2. Resolution set to 72ppi (Pixels Per Inch)

These guidelines will be good for viewing on a computer but will not be good for printing. This will help safeguard your copyright.

thanks for the welcome. I've booked a 2 day (14 hours!) course next weekend so should be more up to speed with the exposure triangle by the end of that with a few decent shots under my belt, just hope the weather's good....
