[QUOTE="Kias, post: 55082, member: 9496"] Been lurking for awhile, and it seems you're a nice group of people here. Seems I need to post what equipment I have to get started, so here it goes! Camera: None Lenses: None Photographic Depression: Lots I've only had point n shoots and the last one, which was a Panasonic DMC-TS3, was lost in Kentucky somewhere. (I think) Luckily the night before I lost it I transferred some 1200 pictures from our Disney Cruise to the laptop. My previous camera was a Nikon L-20. (It doesn't recognize any sd card now) I think I'm going to step it up to a DSLR now, as I'm starting to run up against the camera capabilities and the photo's I want to get out of them. I've been looking at the D5100, D90, and the D7000. Though I think I'm about to cross off the D5100 as it doesn't have an autofocus motor in the body. I mainly like to take low-light, macros, landscape, pictures of food, and pretty much anything else I find of interest. I can never get a picture of a person to come out the way I want it with a point-n-shoot. Hoping a DSLR will get me going down that road. It'll be a few months before I can bite the bullet, April 15th(ish) is never a good time around here to buy anything.
