I caught the photo bug in June 2012, upgraded from a Samsung to a D7000. I am seriously considering another upgrade to the D800 though I'm skeptical about the FPS. I've heard both sides of the "sports" issue... some telling me that the FPS is fast enough to capture flying birds without blurring others saying if there is any movement the D800 won't work. I really enjoy landscapes, macros (though I'm truly a novice with a ton to learn) and nature shots of animals. Sometimes the best shot I can get with birds is the bird in flight. I'm looking foward to reading the forum and learning from those of you that have a lot more experience than I do :)

I seldom use continuous shooting modes but have on occasion. I don't notice any difference with the D800 as long as all the basics are OK. Any camera with good light and a fast shutter speed will capture action "Sports" shots. I have noticed I can crank up the ISO further to keep the shutter speeds up to get good images.
