Hey everyone, My name is Doug, I live in Saskatchewan, Canada. I started photography about 6 years ago with a Canon 7Dmk1. At that time I was full auto and didn't really know what I was doing. About a year after I got the equipment, I started working Construction and sold my gear to help pay bills off. Fast forward 5 years and I am back in the photography scene as I have a different job now. I am shooting a Nikon D7100, I have a Nikon 50mm F 1.8G, and a Sigma 70-200mm F 2.8 and a SB 700 flash. I learned how to get out of auto and went straight manual in 5 months or less. I was recently told on another forum to get out of manual and start in A mode for now and learn how to get proper composition in my pictures. So I am here to learn and share my growth as well and hope to get helpful and non harsh tips and tricks. My goal is to take those shots that people can just say "WOW" when they look at it. I know it will take time and patience. I am willing to take the time to learn and get to understand. Then eventually I want to move to a Full Frame body like the D750 after and keep the 7100 for sports and wildlife and the FF for everything else. Anyways, wanted to say hi and look forward to learning here and helping when I can. Thanks -Doug
