That allows me dexterity for the controls and covers all but a small portion of my hands. I had a pair of gloves that have half fingers, with a mitten covering that you can pull over the fingers, or pull back and leave fingertips exposed. I liked them, but one of the pair grew legs and walked. Of course, in my area it's rare to get into the upper teens. I believe the coldest I've seen when out shooting was 28 degrees.</blockquote>
