Has anyone upgraded from a d90 to a d7000 and regretted it?
The REAL expense is when you start buying the glass to go with that full frame camera. Out of my six lenses that I have only two Nikon lenses that will work on full frame but my favorite and most used lens, the Sigma 17-50 F2.8 would be costly to replace. The closest lens is the Nikon 24-70 F2.8 at $1895 more in addition to getting the FF body. I would like to get the D600 but when you add the cost of the lenses on top of that I just cannot justify that much money. Tamron and Sigma have similar lenses that are less but it still adds up to a bunch of money.
