[QUOTE="hark, post: 835506, member: 13196"] In recognition of International Cat Day today, this is Micah, a diluted calico rescue I adopted back in September 2014. She is almost 12 years old. And for those who have cats, October 29th will be National Cat Day because apparently these felines need more than one day to be honored! 😄 Camera in full manual mode: f/9, ISO 100, 1/200" shutter sync speed Lens 120mm Flash (Godox V860ii) in manual mode at 1/16 power I stood pretty close to Micah – less than 4 feet. Being so close and using a telephoto length lens (120mm), the depth of field is pretty shallow. Both the focal length and the distance from lens to subject play a factor in depth of field. The app Simple Depth of Field Calculator is an easy way to determine depth of field. The cost is $2.99, but I'm sure there are other free depth of field calculators out there.
