Happy Thanksgiving!

With Thanksgiving comes family, and with family comes spontaneous pictures! ::what:: While home my sister asked me to do a family portrait of her family and I went along with it. At this point of the day it was dark outside so we had to do them inside which made it difficult, but nonetheless I went ahead and picked a spot and did them. One thing I noticed is that the pictures seem to be quite noisy especially in the black shirt, why is this and what can be done about it? Let me know what you think and check out a couple other edits I did on my blog at A Journey in Photography. Thank you all!

Great looking family, Jeff. It would help if you could list your settings (ISO, aperture, SS and flash) or learn how to upload a photo to show exif (explained on this site somewhere). As for noise, maybe you were at ISO 6400 and still underexposed? Is this SOOC?

One correctable thing I see in your photo is the shadow on your baby and the walls.

I am not sure why it didn't post the settings. I dont remember all of the settings exactly but I do know that my ISO was at 800 and I do not have flash yet :/. This is not SOOC I shot in RAW and then post processed and converted to JPEG. I did want to correct the shadows but I could not in post process and as I said this was a last minute thing. I would have done it outside if I had known earlier in the day and my house has terrible lighting so I got stuck with shadows.
