Well two weeks without shooting has sent me over the wall. My wife is a teacher and they are having their annual fundraiser where they choose up teams among the teachers and staff and play a softball game. I always have shot the game and was not looking forward to not being able to do it today. The problem is I can't hold up the camera because it is to heavy for my shoulder to support yet. OK, easy enough, use a tripod. still need two hand to shoot and the right (Bad) arm still needs to be raised to fire the shutter and a tripod is not really flexible enough to shoot most things. Now for the eureka moment. Monopod, hold the camera and can be moved easily to shoot a ballgame. Now for firing the shutter. I remembered that I had a wired remote somewhere so I finally found it. Hooked the remote up and use a wire tie to hold it in place to the monopod and I can now hold the monopod at waste level and fire it. Left hand zooms and supports the camera. Will let you know how it goes.
