These pictures are truly worth the thousands of words written describing the differences bewteen dx and fx. WHat I am noticing is that F9 seems sharper (less bokeh?) on the ocean in the background. Also, the skies are a different hue of blue and the cloud clatiry stands out as well. As a hobbyist still learning.....do you think the biggest reason for the differences is due more to the differences between the lenses, the sensor or the crop factor?
