I bough a D5100 too, a few years back with two lens kit, and wow, never thought I'd ever pay that kind of money for a camera.   Few years later, went FX with a D610 and with lens was way more than twice what I'd paid for the D5100 and I thought this is too much but I want it.  And I had just turned 60 so great excuse. I kept the D5100 and we still use it.  Best of both.</blockquote>
