I also got the X-Pro receiver for Christmas This is a definite upgrade over the X-1 Trigger. There are a few extra bells and whistles on the X-Pro and more capacity for even more groups, but they both would give control over multiple off camera flash unit - the X-Pro is just bigger and easier to work with. It does not have the pass through hot shoe which may be a deal breaker if having a flash on the camera matters. I did get a chance to use the X-Pro while on my Christmas vacation and I like it and would recommend it over the X-1, not that much of a price difference and is much easier to fiddle with the settings, especially if shooting manual and making adjustments on the fly. Depending on your needs you may want to look at the AD-360 which is bigger and more powerful than the AD-200 but not as convenient. It has a bigger portable battery unit that connects via a cable. If shooting outside or you need more power the AD-360 may be an option. I have found that I rarely ever need that much light. On the upside, when toned down to 1/8 or less, recycle time is superfast. I used it to shoot a group of daycare workers on an outdoor play structure - dealing with the sun to their backs I was able to get the shot with the AD-360 in a parabolic umbrella diffuser (my favourite 'softbox').
