Each camera maintains it separately across the life of the camera (even if Nikon replaces the shutter mechanism).</p><p></p><p>My reason for posting is that previously the recommendation had always been to upload a "small jpeg" to some place like NikonShutterCount.com, which requires both an internet connection and access to an original OOC jpeg you can export (making a JPEG from a RAW file <em>might</em> render the count in the EXIF unavailable depending on the software). If you have PS or PSE you can access the count from any OOC image file using the method above.</p></blockquote><p></p>
