Unfortunately the D3xxx series do not support live view over USB cable. The camera software does not support it. I know, as I have tried both Camera Control Pro and Digicam Control. When I did not get live view, I searched the net and got the information regarding live view support on various Nikon Cameras. The only way I can think of is to get a WiFi adapter and use Nikon Software to connect the camera to Android or IOS device. This is one of the reasons that will prompt me to upgrade to FX (I see no utility in upgrading 5xxxx and 7xxx series), so that I get the following features I miss with my D3300 : . Live View in tethered mode. . Metering with AIS lenses. . AF with AF and AFD lenses. . Better low light performance. . Easier Wide angle as 24mm lense will be wider than 18mm on DX.
