So it's coming up for renewal of Adobe CC. The price has gone up 20% in the UK, I'm fed up with the buggy Map mode, dislike the LR UI generally and rarely use PS these days. So I started looking around for alternatives that might work out cheaper long term but which also allowed geotagging of images which is a must have for me. I thought I had a solution using a combination of FastStone Image Viewer, iMatch and Serif Affinity Photo supplemented by XYPlorer and FastPictureViewer Codecs. However, I can't find a way of transferring the geo data in my images from LR to another program. I don't know where LR stores geo data. It doesn't seem to be in the .xmp sidecar file. When I export from RAW to DNG the geo data disappears. Does anyone have a solution, workflow or suggestions for an Adobe CC alternative that both picks up the geodata in images already processed in LR and makes it easy to add it to new images? I suspect I'm wanting something that doesn't exist but don't ask, don't get!
