The adapter works well, and the F mount lens worked just fine on a couple of my Z cameras. One thing to remember, unless you already have the FTZ, you will have to add $300 to the mix. I see the F mount 35mm F1.8 runs $200. It would then end up costing you $500 total. The Z mount 35mm F1.8 is $750 right now, so a total difference of $250 between the F and the Z. A lot depends on your wallet. I'm sure you would probably be happy with the adapted F mount. My personal experience, and what I read says that the native Z mount lenses are somewhat, to a good bit better then their F mount counterparts, depending on which F mount lens you are talking about. I do see that the Z 35mm is an S series lens, and they are definitely built to a higher standard. My recommendation would be to spend the extra for the Z lens. It's definitely nice not to have to deal with the adapter. I ended up going with the Z 180-600 to replace my 200-500. It wasn't a big jump in image quality, but it has several advantages over the adapted F mount and I have been glad I switched. You might want to look at reviews of both lenses before deciding.The only other up side to getting the FTZ would be having it for other F mount lenses that you might want to use.</blockquote>
