I believe the newer Z lenses are probably better at AF tracking than their older F mount counterparts, but, in my experience, the F mount lenses adapted seem to work well and doubt it is a large difference in most cases. Keep in mind the adapter has no optical elements, it is merely a spacer with the correct mounts and connections.</blockquote>
