and thats why I would never buy the 24-70. my friend has the stiff zoom cam and the first front barrel (closest to mount-shown in the article) is very loose and almost falling off. tuesday were shooting a wedding together. if he didnt fix it (his father will try actually) by then, Ill take a short video to post. build quality is garbage. those who have it and are happy, im sure arent using it for over 100 weddings a year. his 70-200VR2 has stopped working after 5 years of heavy use. $2400 for a lens that lasts 5 years.
