Food Photography

We've finally had some rain so what better time to try something different inside.

These are a try at food photography using a rustic setup with a few chillies.

I really battled with deciding how to best lay out the food and then which angle to photography it from.

I challenged myself to only use my 50mm lens this week as I usually have my 18 - 105 on. I also used natural light.

Any tips and comments are most welcome.

You might need a touch more exposure but this is a very good start and I like the idea of using the 50mm. Did you use any flash? Tougher than you thought, isn't it?

Hi Ron, no flash just window light. It seems most of what I shoot needs a little more exposure. Going to have to get my laptop screen checked as my images always look too bright.

I knew it would be difficult especially not knowing how to arrange the food. It was a fun experiment which I'll try again soon :)
