It may have to do with your preferences!

I do not use this specific software but all software use their own set of algorithm
to perform their calculations on your file. All you have to do is go to your app. prefs
and adjust the behaviour.

Have a good day…

Hi Rick,

I'm afraid this is not related!

Whichever mode you use, the RAW file still contains focus info…

Have a good day…

Ime talking jpeg here and i use continues auto focus,it will go along with the focus point showing for maybe 8 images then be missing on one or two, first i thought it was if i had altered the file in any way but thats not the case.

Hey Mike,

These bits of info change many things but not everything!

Nevertheless, your software is applying calculations on info that is in your file.
A jpg file is by far not as good as a RAW file as it is compressed and, in the
process of reduction, a lot of info is simply discarded, deleted!

If the remaining info is sufficient… I got no idea since I never do anything but
RAW recordings…

Sorry I can not help you, really sorry.

The Raw file contains no focus point info. The only info it contains it is ISO. Focus point and other Nikon tags could be contained in the Header of the RAW file, which is different.
VNX will show no focus point if the machine is set AFC when acquiring the image...
