First try at night photo

Hi, Im looking for some tips/critique of this photo. I am in Colorado on business and the area is much better than at home (NE Pa) for night shots. This was shot with a Nikon D7100, and Tokina 11-16mm. I have a bunch from the 2 nights I have gone out. This is one of my favorites. I like the way the rock formation looks. I was still to close to the city, I was in Garden of the Gods, so I got some lights from that. I love going out at night so any pointer to improve would be appreciated.

I really like the rock formation on the left which looks like a head shouting out.
You do have a little light pollution coming in from the lower right but its not too bad.

Overall its avery nice composition.

Perhaps consider taking two shots one a long exposure to get the stars and then blend in the mountains in a second shot.
