Next weekend I have an opportunity to shoot the Metallica Orion Music and More outdoor festival on Belle Isle in Detroit, MI! I've been reading up this past month or so on concert photography. I'll have my 5.11 bag and am taking my 50mm, 18-105mm and 55-200mm with plenty of room for other essentials and two water bottle slots :) I imagine I'll use the 50/18-105 most of the time. Festival runs from high noon to about 10PM both days. Not much need for a flash for the non-band/stage shots as it gets dark here around 9PM. May put the promaster bracket, TTL cord and SB700 in the bag just in case considering the indoor displays, etc. What type of on flash modifiers do you recommend? With the car show and other activities going on, not to mention the people shots, I'm really looking forward to this. Interesting in any other tips or samples from similar festivals. Thanks!
