Firmware?

I just purchased my 3rd D5100 the first 2 have firmware A,B (both 1.01) and C (1.003).

The newest D5100 has firmware A,B (both 1.01) and C (1.006), Nikon's web site does not show that there is an update for C from 1.003 to 1.006?

Any thoughts?

3 5100s ? why so many 5100s? gifts? maybe, they have not yet publicly released the C,, and just on the production camera, but stay tuned, and I would wager it will be visible soon,, if you want to update. I hook my cameras up once a year to see if any updates for the first couple of years and update the body, but after a while, don't bother getting updates. Often the updates are for features that I have no interest in.

I love the D5100 I do more (PRO) work with them then I do with my D2xs, D600 or the D800.

My D5100s do sports and dog shows and work wonderfully. Face it I can put the $400.00 D5100 on a pod with a remote release and walk away. It would be a cold day that I would do that with the D800.

The D2xs is a good paper weight but works well in the copy stand.

The D600 and D800 only leave the studio for big pay jobs and only if I'm with them.

C firmware? if you are talking about the L (as it is shown on the d5000 and D7000) the download link is this:
