I still want a D7000 (likely will wait for the next iteration of that version however given the age) because I feel like I want better accessibility for certain options that the 5100 doesn't give such as dedicated buttons, more focus points, ergonomics, better viewfinder, battery life, faster shutter speed and more flash capability. I wish I had the cash when I bought my 5100, but I remember the 7000 being almost 500 bucks more and I couldn't justify it at the time. I've found I can do without most of the features that the 5100 has such as the scenes modes and dumb down my video capability in search of these perks honestly. I'm more concerned with pictures than "toys" at this stage.</p></blockquote><p></p>
