Re: Faymus Media Photo Challenge #6 "Winners Battle Round #1" 4 Part Contest! One simple answer Jeff, because the hotdog pros work in the STUDIO. When you work in a studio environment, you don't have to carry the stuff with you, you can use big mother tripod, huge powerful flash systems. 35mm was invented for portability and journalists. Try carrying a hasselblad with 3 or 4 lenses for a week. You will wish for something lighter or you'll hire an assistant to carry it for you. I know, I've been there before in another life. We can all drool all we want, spend all the money you can on cameras, if you're stuck home with them because you forgot to keep money for gaz to get to your shots, then it's all worthless. Better to have less of a camera and to travel to take pictures than to have the best and most expensive just to look at it on your desk. Sorry about my opinion, but don't forget what cameras are for, taking pictures. If you get paid huge money and you need to print huge billboards, then you need the most expensive cameras, otherwise, use what you've got and develop an eye for the light. You will learn whatever camera you use.
