I bought some Lexar Professional Silver 256GB cards for my D780, but before I open them (so unable to return) I just wanted to check that it isn't a mistake. My understanding is that the D780 support UHS-ii, but that for a card to be fast enough for an "unlimited buffer" experience it would be necessary to have 210Mbps write (7fps and 30Mb per frame). I don't necessarily need an unlimited buffer, but when spending money it seems wise to get the best bang for the buck. Looking at write speeds:- 90Mpbs SanDisk Extreme PRO (UHS-i) (depends where you get the numbers from) 120Mpbs Lexar Professional 1667x (UHS-ii) 140Mpbs Lexar Professional Silver (UHS-i) 150Mpbs SanDisk Extreme PRO (UHS-ii) 160Mpbs Lexar Professional Silver Pro (UHS-ii) The Lexar Professional 1667x seems like a waste of money if fast write speed is what you want, despite being UHS-ii, whilst Lexar Professional Silver UHS-i seems to be almost as fast as most UHS-ii cards without the cost. But, this is theory, how will they actually perform in a D780 ? thanks
