Hello, I am getting back into photography and am shooting with my F1 and F2. The lenses I have, are the ones with the small center circle for focus. What, - are there lenses that have a full focus view rather than the small circle- that will work with my F1 & F2?

Are you referring to a split-prism where you align the 2 halves of what is in the circle with each other? That is installed in the viewfinder, not the lens.

I know over the years different kinds of focusing screens were made for SLR viewfinders, but the split-prism was by far the most common. It is not a matter of switching lenses.

Ahh Thank you, I forgot about the viewfinder and options for change. When you look thru mine it has 2 halves, but you do no align the halves, just focus within the upper half.

Thanks for the help!

For your F1 and F2, you can definitely find manual focus lenses that provide a more expansive focusing area. Lenses with a "split-image" or "microprism" focusing screen might give you a broader view to focus with, but most of these are still manual focus lenses designed for the F1 and F2. Just make sure you’re getting lenses compatible with the Canon FD mount, which your F1 and F2 use.

An f/2 lens refers to a lens with a wide maximum aperture of f/2, allowing more light to enter the camera. This makes it ideal for low-light photography and achieving a shallow depth of field, producing beautiful background blur (bokeh).
