Despite being led to believe by the retailer that I would get a replacement body, Nikon dug their heels in and wouldnt issue a new body,only repair. They apparently have a new 28 day replacement policy and my email to the retailer was 31 days after purchase date so they said it was outside the time frame.I did offer to send in some unedited raw images taken with the camera with the dust/dirt issue and data to show that the problem definitely occured within the time frame but they wouldnt budge. I was a bit pissed of with Nikons attitude tbh.Anyway, 12 days after the camera was left in it was returned as fixed, without any detailed explanation as to what the issue was.I refused to take the body back and when neither Nikon or the retailer would give me a replacement body I requested a refund. A couple of phone calls later between the retailer and Nikon they finally agreed.I went back to the shop earlier with the box and all the bits and pieces and my cashback Visa card, which luckily I hadnt spent. Got my refund and went to another shop in Dublin who I had contacted and bought the Nikon D7100 body there. Although their list price was dearer than the original dealer, they price matched for me, threw in a 16GB card and a lens cleaning cloth and also promised me a free full sensor cleaning when I needed it.So alls well that ends well, although I was underwhelmed with Nikons customer service.Heres hoping I am now trouble free with my new body and that my issue was a once off. Btw and OT, the shop where I ended up buying the body had a dozen D4S behind the counter, all brought in to order, retailing @ €6200 a piece!</blockquote>
