Day 36 (5/2/2013) Too busy at work to get out and take a photo today. Got to around 11pm when I realised I hadn't taken my daily pic. I ran around the house looking for a subject and came across my wife's scented candles! Hopefully she doesn't notice they've been lit. D800 w/ Tamron 24-70 F2.8 1/80 at f/2.8 -1 EV ISO 900 Interestingly, I attempted the same shot with my 50mm 1.4 with very similar DOF results. I think the main reason was the distance from the subject. With the 1.4 I couldn't get closer than 45-50cm, whereas the Tamron I was around 35-40cm. The extra 10cm or near abouts really makes a difference.
