Tide was quite high and I found myself with wet feet by the end of the shoot. </p><p>I had some problems with a camera lens on Christmas and I had reset the D800 back to defaults in an attempt to eliminate potential causes. I forgot that the default setup is to shoot JPEG instead of RAW so I was quite disappointed when I got back and realised what I had done. Not overly disappointed though now that i'm back at my PC and can see the end result.</p><p></p><p>1296 sec (21.6 mins) at f/11, ISO 100</p><p>Focal length: 10.0 mm</p><p>Lens: Nikon DX 10-24</p><p></p><p><u><strong>28/12/2012</strong></u></p><p>[ATTACH]23290[/ATTACH]</p><p>Back at the same spot again. Hoping to get a better result by taking a RAW image. This time it was low tide and I was able to get a different angle on the beach. There were a group of people with a bonfire burning on the beach which was handy for something to auto focus on.</p><p></p><p>1093 sec (18.2 mins) at f/11, ISO 200</p><p>Focal length: 24.0 mm</p><p>Lens: Nikon DX 10-24</p><p></p><p>[ATTACH]23291[/ATTACH]</p><p>Further up the beach I came across this rock formation. The camera battery died mid exposure; about 3 mins earlier than I had anticipated.
