XQD Card Damage

I just went to TN and GA and took a lot of waterfall photos. I can see the photos on the back of my camera but when I go to download only the photos I took with Focus shift shooting, that were in folders would transfer over to my computer. The other photos do not show up at all. Does anyone have any ideas how I can recover these photos?

A couple of thoughts come to mind.

First, if you've set the secondary slot to "backup" and have manually deleted photos via the camera it will only delete from the primary card. This means they'll be missing from the XQD, but still present on the SD and as such will be still visible when reviewing on the camera. That said, simply import from the SD not the XQD.

Second, since they're visible on the camera, simply tether the camera to the computer and import that way. Regardless of which card the images are on (and potentially what shape the card is in) they should come over since the camera displays them and can act as intermediary during import.

Thank you, I finally figured out the pictures had exported. I had taken so many photos and they were all put into folders. When I was looking through the folders, for some reason, I was skipping the folder they were in. BIG DUH moment!
